

This course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to operate a forklift truck in a range of industries. The course is suited to anyone requiring a high-risk work licence (HRWL) in the class, LF who work in construction, transport, mining, maintenance, or the energy sector where forklift operation is a part of their role. This course is Nationally Recognised and is licensed as per the National Standard for Licensing Persons Performing High Risk Work (HRWL). The HRWL is assessed by a WorkSafe WA Registered Assessor.
Note, for licensing purposes, the LF HRWL covers the operation of a Forklift truck which means a powered industrial truck equipped with lifting media made up of a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachments that can be raised 900 mm or more above the ground, but does not include a pedestrian-operated truck or a pallet truck.
Candidates must be 18 years or over. 2 forms of ID are required including one form of Photo ID. Forklift operation is a high risk activity and requires hand eye coordination, communication skills and good vision. A candidate must have sufficient knowledge of the English language, both written and oral, to safely do work of that class (as per WHS Regulations 2022 r114).

Upon successful completion trainees will be issued with a
Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in TLILIC0003 - Licence to operate a forklift truck^
High Risk Work Licence – Class LF (Forklift) *
^ A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required before ATC can issue the candidate with a Statement of Attainment.
USI’s are available from www.usi.gov.au.
* the licence is processed and issued by WorkSafe WA. ATC will issue an interim HRWL to competent candidates which is valid for 60 days until the licence is processed.
