This course is designed to ensure participants attain the necessary skills and knowledge to operate an offshore crane safely and efficiently. An offshore crane may include various crane classes temporarily or permanently mounted to a vessel, FPSO, MODU, fixed platforms, dive vessels, FSU’s and barges or similar.
Examples include: Derrick, Slewing pedestal, Bridge and gantry, Knuckle-boom, Mobile slewing crane.
There are no pre-requisites for this course, however experience working with or around cranes is desirable.
This course is perfect for anyone wanting to become an accredited offshore crane operator within the Australian Qualification Framework.
The PMASUP305 Operate Offshore Crane unit of competency is desirable for those operating cranes within Australian Waters.
Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in PMASUP305 Operate Offshore Cranes^
^ A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required before ATC can issue the candidate with a Statement of Attainment.
