

This course is essential for workers in the resources industry who are required to work in and around confined spaces as part of their operational role. This hands-on course gives participants the necessary skills and knowledge in understanding hazards and risk control measures in confined spaces, the use and care of appropriate PPE and equipment, atmospheric monitoring and ventilation, safe systems of work such as permit to work and LOTO and how to respond to emergencies. Training and assessment is based on client procedures, Australian and New Zealand Standard 2865 and relevant legislation.
This course applies to anyone who is working in or around confined spaces across industry including those in resources, construction and fabrication, maintenance, operators and any other industry where confined space risks are present.
Upon successful completion trainees will be issued with aNationally Recognised Statement of Attainment in Confined Space Entry - RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in a Confined Spaces.A Unique Student Identifier (USI) is required before ATC can issue the candidate with a Statement of Attainment.USI’s are available from www.usi.gov.au.
